Export and Import

In Rubix Wires, you can export and import flow programs using the following methods:

Copy JSON file​

Copying allows manual backup or duplication of flow programs.

  1. Select the desired flow program.
  2. Click the export button or use the shortcut Ctr+E.
  3. Paste the JSON into a text editor or document for backup.
  4. Save the file.
  5. Paste the flow program into the Paste Flow section of import window.

Save Backup​

  1. Highlight the flow program you wanted to backup or duplicate.
  2. Click the export button or use the shortcut Ctr+E.
  3. Click Save to Backup.
  4. Add user comment as title of the backup.
  5. To load the JSON file, use the import button or use the shortcut Ctrl + I.
  6. Click Select a Backup tab.
  7. Select the desired backup from the list of titles.

Save to Excel​

  1. Highlight the flow program you wanted to backup or duplicate.
  2. Click the export button or use the shortcut Ctr+E.
  3. Click Save to Excel.
  4. Add file name of the backup then select the directory where the file will be saved.
  5. Click save to excel
  6. Load the excel file by using the import button or use the shortcut Ctrl + I.
  7. Click Load from Excel then select file.
  8. Navigate the location of the excel file and click the file thenopen.
  9. Click Load then import. max800px

After importing a flow, it must be deployed to save it to the controller. Click the deploy button or hit Ctrl + S keyboard button to deploy the flow.
